I grew up in a small town in Arkansas — the kind of place where people know their neighbors and look out for one another. That is still how I approach my work today.
I have been a trial lawyer since 2002, and after years in the courtroom, I found my way to personal injury law and never looked back.
Throughout my career, I have taken cases to trial and fought for people when the stakes are at their highest — and that commitment is the foundation on which The Beard Law Firm is built.

I am board certified in Truck Accident Law through the National Board of Trial Advocacy — a distinction held by only a small number of attorneys in the country.

I know what it means to lose someone without warning. When I was a teenager, my grandmother and younger sister went out one morning to get breakfast while I stayed behind. They were struck and killed by a train just one block from home. They never made it back. My mother lost her mother and her daughter on the same day, in the same wreck.
I take this work personally, because I know what these families are carrying. And I fight the way I do because I know that for many of them, what happens in that courtroom is the only shot at justice they will ever get.

Critical evidence can disappear fast. Video footage (from surrounding buildings, mobile-phones, highway department cameras, etc.) often have limited time before they are gone for good. Witnesses move, change numbers, and may forget important details. Electronically stored data from the vehicles involved (such as speed, hours driven, bad driving patterns, video of the driver, etc.) and important memories may be lost if action is delayed.
